Scene 12: The Dirty Dozen

Hey viewers, thanks for your patience with the past few days, it’s been a busy time getting this blog up to standard and pushing to the masses. I knew it wouldn’t be easy and there have been a few stumbling blocks but I’m dedicated to the cause. Anyway, back to this scene, okay so the title has absolutely nothing to do with the content of the post this time, I just thought since it’s scene 12 I’d call it the dirty dozen.

In my personal opinion, I believe that a visual distraction is the most potent method in coping with several types of mental illness. Movies were mine and still are if I’m honest, again depending on your choice of genre, the two to three hours of adventure, fantasy, comedy or horror is adequate enough for me to completely block out the real world and have my mind bemused and intrigued. Horror for me is my go-to genre, being terrified and horrified gets my heart racing and is utterly enthralling, but that’s just me. I’m sure many of you have your own preferred class of movie that does the same thing for you. This, to me, is a no brainer when you start to feel that malevolent feeling trying to coax its way into your sanity, however, I have been told that the populace suffering from mental illnesses shouldn’t entertain the horror genre, sounds logical but I’m not going to penalise myself from something I love, and to be honest it works in my case.

Don’t let society persuade what’s right for you or working for you is wrong, obviously, to a certain extent, it has to be legal for one. Don’t parade around a park in your underwear because it’s your free place, rules still apply to us. I could mention several other distraction methods, and I will, but each needs a breakdown and description, so plenty more scenes to come.

I’d like to mention sponsorship or funding at this time. As much as I love this blog and being completely dedicated to it, the reality is that it needs to be funded, whether it’s to keep the durability of it upheld or advertising to the world, unfortunately, it costly. The way I see it, the more people view this blog the better, suicide right now is on the uprising which is horrible, to say the least. I’m not saying my posts can help everyone but if it stops a multitude of attempts on self-harm or worse, then the cause is worth it in my eyes. So if you or know anyone who would be capable of helping with this cause, please let me know, it will be appreciated. It’s not just about helping now it’s about saving!

As always it’s a pleasure writing for you guys.

Over and out.
